Clay Pot Snowmen Ornaments

Clay Pot Snowmen Ornaments

  • 3 – 2˝ Natural Clay Pot
  • 1 Pkg. – 7 mm White Pom Poms (using leftover multicolor or handmade yarn pom-poms)
  • 1 Pkg. – White Sculpey III Clay (using some leftover orange clay)
  • 1 Skein – DMC Metallic Silver Floss  (Using left over ribbons)?
  • Folk Art® Metallic Acrylic Paint: Aquamarine (using what I have on hand)
  • 1 Skein – DMC White Floss (using yarn from my stash)
  • E-6000® Adhesive
  • Fine Grit Sand Paper
  • Scraps of Knit Fabric (using fleece & felt I have on hand)
  • Delta Ceramcoat® Acrylic Paint: Lt. Ivory, Blue Heaven, Ocean Reef Blue, Lime Sorbet, Tangerine, Georgia Clay, Tompte Red, Yellow, Spice Brown and Black  (using what I have on hand)
I love these cute Clay Pot Snowman ornies from Hobby Lobby!  Since I am not a patient painter (LOL), I plan to decoupage some scrapbook paper scraps onto the bottom rims instead of the detailed painting. To use up things I have, I will also use ready made trims, fleece, ribbons and yarn from my stash.  I have a bit of orange Sculpey at home to make noses (one less thing to paint).  Hmmm, I think I have some jingle bells to hang inside the pots too, I think that will be cute and add sound and movement!   Now, if I could only get my camera to work again  (Hey Santa!  hint, hint...) I would show the finished product.

Cute Gift Idea - Drawer Box with matching note cards!

Found this darling project idea over at Split Coast Stampers - a Drawer Box submitted by Holly McMillen.
You can learn to create a box with a drawer to hold cards or other goodies. I thought this was an very versatile project with a clear online tutorial, as well as links to a printable version and a video version.  I can already see many decorating and use options for this box!

A No Sew Market bag from Martha Stewart!

I absolutely love this project from Martha Stewart -
all it requires is a piece of ultrasuade, the printable
template and a craft knife.  What do you think?
It would make great gifts too.  Love the fact that
it easily stores flat in your purse!

Natural Stone Plant Markers from Martha Stewart

I love this idea from the Martha Stewart Website -
Stamp on flat stones instead of using plant markers!
Is so eco friendly and looks so pretty and natural -
and I have the stamps and ink at home -
heading out to look  for stones!
